can i house 2 red tails in the same cage? i have a 23inch nigaraguain redtail and was thinking about getting a columbian rtb also would i have to get seperate tanks or could i do a 2fer

I will honestly tell you right now... watch out cause you just opened a beehive..but no best to house only one snake per cage unless you are breeding.

Others have said it, but I'll chime in too...one snake per cage. If one gets sick, they both do. One gets mites, they both do. It's hard to keep an eye on their poops because you have no way of knowing who's it is. Not to mention the stress of being housed with another snake will often cause one or both to stop eating. They will also compete for the best basking spots and hides. If you have another cage, use it. If not, buy one or don't get the snake.
