I would lower it also for something like a BRB or Emerald or something with high humidity...I have never had moderate 50-60% humidity seem to be prolonging mouthrot though. But who knows...I see your point.

I always lower the hmdity with MR, so couldn't say that keeping it elevated WOULD ALWAYS do such..BUT I am also not going to "test" that theory either on a snake with MR. I just do it cuz it sounds logical is all. Could be not making a difference possibly.
Do you regulate the humidity at all for something like BCI/BCC with MR or just leave it as the norm then ? Or both , depending on which snake it is and what other issues it might have going on also ?

OK. I finally got the heat pad under the tank & got the humidity correct. so, hopefully, the MR should go away rapidly now. On another note, Boots finally ate a f/t rat. I wound up having to leave it in the feeder overnight, but she took it. Still haven't heard back from the vet regarding the frequency of the shot & the supr baytril issue, though; We'll keep you guys updated on that.

Well, here I am at Ft Bragg, and Boots is about 80 miles away. I've heard that she is doing much better, that the MR is clearing up. I took your advice, Julius, and went ahead & got a 100-mL bottle of Baytril 100 & my wife is giving her 1.2cc SQ doses (I'm sure that boots apprieciates that). she also gut-loaded a f/t the other day, just to give her a break from getting a shot; luckily, she has taken to the f/t like a duck to water. If you guys have any other suggestions involving boots, please post; my wife is checking this post & others daily, and I will be dropping in from time to time.
Hajii

well, here I am, live from the other side of the world. Just thought I'd stop in & give you guys an update. I talked with my wife a few days ago, and Boots has fully recovered from the MR, and is still enjoying the F/T, and back to her old tricks (looking at my dogs like they were VERY large F/T, lol.
Just wanted to say thanks for all your help, guys; hopefully, the next time I post here, I'll be home (anyone have any requests for hots direct from the middle east? (just kidding!)).
See you guys,
Hajii
