My columbian red tail is about 5-6 months old not sure he is 2 1/2 feet long but any ways he has pink on his belly i've seen pics of scale rot it dont look like it he has a branch in his cage and carpet both store bought also he seems to be getting darker too i will appreciate any help

I wouldn't worry at this point! In a couple of day's he should be going blue some snake's belly's turn pink before shed's! Also they may go pink one time and not the next! By Wednesday I bet he'll be blue!

I don't care for the carpet stuff myself either much for a multitude of reasons. I also think it would be a rough surface to be slithering across all the time...

my oldest boa always has a fairly pink belly. he's really one of the most diversly colored BCI I've seen, besides morphs.........ect. a lot of times it is a shed coming on though, I wouldn't worry quite yet. -Juggalo

There's a BCI in the reptile store I go to, they are charging 25 bucks more than the others for it cus it's "high pink." So I doubt it's a bad thing. *shrug*
