Size of RTB

My baby is about 4 mos old and about 2 feet. He has already shed 3 times in as many months so growing rather quick. Im beginning to build a home for him now...for when he is full size and I understand he will probably be about 7-7 1/2. feet long..my question is roughly how much will he weigh and how large should I built his home?? I was thinking maybe, 6ft long by 2 ft high by 3ft wide...is this ok size? Now i just need a rough weith estimate for the support...thatnks all

Build it to support 100 lbs. He won't weigh much over 20-30 when maxed out if he ever even hits that....but, substrate can be heavy, water bowls...decorations...don't build a flimsy cage man.

4x2x2 is fine for an adult BCI. You might want to go with a 6x2x2 for a BCC.

hey julius have you seen any f juggalos boas??? man they are huge. i went over to his house yesterday to see the adult dumerils he has and he has a female red tail that is huge, but she is sweet as can be. well anyways just blabbing

BCC are true redtails. They are native to suriname, guyana, brazil, venezuela and Trinidad. Notice that these countries lie to the far east of South America divided from the west by the Andes Mountains. The most common boas in the pet trade are the BCIs of columbia and central america.....but just because a snake is a boa doesn't mean they are either BCI or BCC as many people seem to think. There are many other subspecies of boa. Also...there are locales where the mountains don't block them and crossing does occur. For instance...there is only a river between Venezuela and Columbia so there are some BCC in Columbia and some BCI in Venezuela. sorry julius that was an off topic posts. i was just sayng he has a perfect specimen of how big and gentle an adult red tail can be. thats all. i am going to have to get a male, cause the wife doesnt want a 12 foot snake in the house
