i was wondering if i should trade a pair of albino burms for a 6 ft yellow head retic, a pair of albino het for snow corns snakes, and a pair of leopard geckos. let me know if this is a good deal. i think it may be but im not experienced with corns yet.

Well, my thought is retics are MUCH more tempmental than burms, so that one I would say no, for the others...it's your call, why switch though? Do you not like yours anymore? Just wondering.......

Not sure what you mean by a good deal. But you need to ask yourself, are you willing to give up what you have in return of what is being offered. If you answered yes, then it's a good deal, if the answer is no, then it's not a good deal.

What you keep is your business. I don't particularly like albino burms or retics....but I have odd preferences to snakes. Everyone's tastes are different as to what would or would not be a good trade. If you like what you are getting better than what you had....good trade. I would make sure the animals being traded for are in good health though....A lot of times when someone starts trying to trade off what seems like a really good deal....it's because he can't get them to eat or they have been hacking up snot or something and they don't want to deal with it.

my only advice would be to seriously think about having a retic as opposed to a burmese. they are totally different animals in personality. a burmese might be able to kill you but wouldn't necessarily try. that's not true of retics. i believe of all captive species there are more retic related human fatalities than with any other large snake. now, true, this is usually because of a SFE or somesuch thing. however, it is definitely not a thing to take lightly.

burms might be the same size, but...heh...you'd never catch me with a retic.

Actually, it is the burmese, but that is simply because there are a lot more of them out there than retics, thankfully. In every single case, it was the owner being irresponsible or doing something stupid. I have yet to hear of a case that could not have been prevented with more care on the owner's part.

I would also suggest that you educate yourself on corn snakes before getting some...You said "I don't know much about corns". If you don't know much about them, I wouldn't get any until you do. Just my 2 pennies
