This is the care sheet Stormy was referring to. Who are you thinking about purchasing your new boa from? I do not own any BCC my self, but as I understand they are pickier and less forgiving in husbandry mistakes, and more likely to regurge when kept in incorrect conditions.

Welcome to RTB!! -Juggalo

i personally kkep mine at the following:

88 day with the cool side at 78, a night time drop of a uniform 78 degrees
i use cyprus aspen mix. i keep the humidity at 70 percent.

with suri's- especially babies- you have to watch what you feed them. feed them 1 regular sized prey item (go by the girth rule). if fed too much they will regurge, and some dont stop- they get regurge syndrome and eventually waste away.

i feed my gal 2 rat fuzzies every 7-10 days

regular care, just a lil bit higher humidity and watch how you feed them. dont blow 'em out.

HI,
I have raised a guyana from 6 weeks to almost 2 years, and they are almost related. a silly little line in the sand. Baby BCC"S are a little more temp sensative than BCI and mine wouldn't eat unless the temp's ambient were 82-84 and the humidty 60-70 %. my BCI could care but the little BCC's seem to need the humidty.
Give them quiet time before and after feeding, mine was gangly and thin the first year but grew like a weed the second. This seems to be normal
they are much stronger and bigger than the bci as adults, plan on a large cage. te perfect cage would be 8 long 2ft deepto 3 ft if your building it.
Invest in a large cage up front, or they will out grow it by two, he its your money, I used a forty critter for the first year and the 2/4melanie cage and finally 2/6 thsi will not proably be the last.. hehe
doug
here's some baby pics.
