i used to keep all my boas at 88 degrees for years up until a few weeks ago. (i decided to go a lil' lower.) too hot is any period in the mid to upper 90's!!!
a snake kept to hot may cause a regurge, but i dought this was the cause. i dought not having water for a day will cause that either. sometimes i go longer than that when they spill alot.
some causes for regurge are- temps too cool: slowing down the metabolism and leaving the prey in the stomach rotting before it can fully digest, too large of a prey item: prey so large there is no room for natural gases and urates and poop to pass, causing the snake to swell- causing a burt at either or both ends!! ask ritchie about that and there are various stomach things that may cause regurge.
what you should do is not feed for a week or two. in that time fully hydrate the snake. make sure it is ok, then try a small prey item. if it eats a mouse, try a fuzzy or hopper.
as for moving, how far you gotta go. last winter when i moved to yonkers i placed a 75
gal in my back seat and placed a bunch of snakes in their own bags and placed the bunch in the tank to keep them from falling over. i just kept my car heat on. my car was litterally in the uper 80's!
if your snake is small, place it in a bag, in a box with a heat pad and some crumpled newspaper for cushon. there are litterlally a million ways to move a snake. the goal is to keep it warm and make it as less stressful as possible!
also, dont go blasting the radio when the snake is in the car with you. snakes dont have an outer ear, but have a poorly developed inner ear and can sence vibrations! believe me, unlike what alot of people say, snakes do not like the vibrations of loud music.
good luck.
