tank set up help

Hi, I have had my red tail x boa for 2 month now and need some help with me set up. I keep the warm end at about 32.5degrees.the humidity in the uk isn't a problem, the snake has completed 2 full sheds. My onli problem is that I have one thermometer lead inside the tank to read the temps and the sensor for the dimmer in side the tank but it all makes the tank look a bit ugly as the black lead goes down the side of the tank and I can onli get the thermostat to give good consistant temps when the sensor is facing up lent against a rock and held in place by a weight but I have been struggling for ideas how to hide the two wires and a better place to place the sensor as it is supposed to be on the floor facing the direct light which is a 150W bulb that heats the whole of the tank. But I don;t know how else to have the sensor facing the directly at the light without propping it up against a rock in the tank and holding it in place wih a weight off a dumbbell. I have attached a few pics. The tank is all glass with a one inch chipboard for a lid but I always have a weight on top so the snake can not get out. THe tank is 3 and a half foot long by 1 foot wide and the snake is about 2 and a half foot long now, I will take some pics of Sammy tomorrow
Any help is greatly appreciated as I have been tearing my hair ou ttrying to get a good temperature and position of the sensor!
Also, my snake rarely comes out of its hide on the warm side, maybe just a little shy. What is everyone elses take on this.
