I found that a Tough Top aquarium cover will fit BUT I only have tried the Tough Top 50 gallon on a 40 gallon Critter Cage. (Tthis is very important!!) The cover will not fit tight enough onto a Critter Cage to keep a snake in. Maybe a lizard or a Tort or a turtle but not a snake, no matter how the big the snake is!
You will have to write to Tough Tops to get the dementions or look at this website...

And don't forget to order the clips to hold/lock the cover on.

thanks but none will sell seperatly.. Any body got an idea how to fix something in the corners that would even up the top of all the sides so that a regular lid would fit correclty? It would have to be something that is able to stick to glass really well, maybe a piece of plexi?

I know it will take some work, but make one to fit over it with wire fencing and wood, notch the wood on the sides and it will slide right on. Other than that I dont know what to do.

They sell Tough tops seperately all the time...
Maybe I'm not understanding what your question is?

Or maybe take the frame of the Critter Cage to a window repair place and see if they can put in a new screen for you.

nah..see this certain brand of tank has a sliding, interlocking lid that doesn't just lay flat. Because of this, one side of the tank is lower, 1/4 inch or so, than the rest of the tank.. Building it myself isn't a bad idea though, use the existing screen, maybe some 1x's or something to frame it out with.. something heavy at the same time..

nah, only a camera phone.. heres the design of the tank.. the sides and back wall are about 1/4 inch or more higher than the front piece of glass.. this enables the sliding screen to slide into its tracks and end up flush at the bottom.. The proper lid for the cage has some sort of lip on it which makes up for the 1/4 inch shortness on the front glass.. see a regular lid sits flush, made for a tank that all the sides are of equal heights... with the way mine is, im stuck with a 1/4 inch gap at the front inbetween the glass and the screen lid.. this is an very active ball so i know he's gonna be an escape risk so i need this fixed asap.. i think im just best rigging some way to add a 1/4 inch of glass on the front, whether its plexi or what, that way a regular lid will sit flush..
