Freezing bedding as a way of treating it?
Hey guys!
First of all I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy Holiday season. I've been very busy and occupied with work, and year end chores, so I haven't had a chance to come around lately. :/
I bought Timmy a new home for Christmas! I bet he can't wait!!
I'm just wondering if Freezing his aspen bedding will kill anything(bugs of course), apposed to baking it. I don't like the sound of putting wood in the oven, I guess I'm just paranoid.
Thanks!

Why would there be bugs in the aspen? Is it used?

...No it's not used.
After a past problem with having bugs in my bedding(from the pet store), I now treat my bedding just in case. Is there a problem with that? because I always thought it's a good practice to treat your bedding.

Freezing it will be fine. I was paranoid to put stuff into the oven first, but I finally did it and am well over it now lol.

Ill assume that you are seriously asking that question...(not just blowing off steam)
No, I do not believe there is a problem with treating your bedding just in case. However, I do think it is quite possibly...unnecessary. Happy Holidays.

You act like the question was fully answered.
How long would you have to freeze it? Overnight? a Week? 6 months?
just some suggested questions to ask if you are that interested in freezing your aspen bedding.

is there a chanse that in freexing the bedding the moisture that would come up when it thawed could rot it?
I'm just throwing ideas out there, you can ignore me
but freezing does kill little buggies
