Feeding problem
ive just been to pick up some f/t rats and the shop where i usually go is out of stock until after christmas, i have a BRB which is completly used to f/t, my realistic options would be to either get a couple of mice which they still have, or feed it a live rat, if i were to go for the second option would i have trouble getting my snake to take f/t again?

Yeah.. please don't feed live. I just had a very bad experience with a rat coming back to life. As in your case, my store was out of frozen large rats. So I tried to pre-kill a live rat before feeding it to a python, and I guess I just knocked it out. The rat came back to life just in time to get constricted by my snake who, mind you, hasn't eaten anything live in years. The rat took a nice chunk out of the python's neck, and now he has a big (3/4 of an inch long) nasty scar and two missing scales, forever, because of my mistake. At least my python and I got lucky. The rat could've bit his head and punctured the brain.
I'd rather you let your boa skip a meal, than feed it live (especially to a snake that is used to dead rodents that don't fight back) and risk a serious injury. Bad bites happen.. more often than anyone will admit.. especially with rats.

just to let everyone know, they had a few f/t smaller rats than she normally has in, i fed her 2 of them instead which isnt ideal but surely ok for a one off?, she took both without problem and seems pretty happy and active today.

I can't see any problem with feeding 2 smaller prey items.
