i feel so stupid...
i know i did something wrong. i went into Midguard & Noodle's cage today, and i could only find Noodle... there are no cracks big enough when the cage is closed (sliding locking screen top)... and i had them out yesterday, showed them both to my roommate beucase he wanted to know how i could tell them apart... i KNOW i put them into the water dish... i can remember it... but Midguard is missing. hes so small.... hes upstairs with me in my room. my heating/ac vents are on the floor... theres a large section of baseboard missing under my bathroom sink to give access to some wires... if he got into any one of those... ill never see him again.
im beating myself up so bad... i know this has to be my fault somehow. how do i have a 6 inch snake in 1110 square feet of apartment??
if we dont find him, i know hes going to die. i feel so horrible....

Sorry for losing the snake. Make sure you check all the hot spots. I'm sure it will eventually come out sometime and you will see it. What kind of snakes were they? I thought all snakes were supposed to have their own enclosures? I could be wrong and maybe it is just the species?

Nerodia erythrogaster, blotched water snake. they were together im a 10 gallon, and i had plans on keepting the 2 of them together they lives. you CAN house snakes of the same species together; its not usually reccommended. the 10 they are so small the 2 of them could prolly live happily together in a 5 gallon. we have taken the vent covers off and looked in, even to the point of using mirrors to look where they bent. we've looked at the computer cables, we are checking piles of laundry, taking everything out of my dresser, we are going to be moving my bed and my blankets out, we plan on dis membering my room. if he is not in my room, we are going to put everything back in and ducttape around the door edges, and start on the next upstairs room, doing the same thing. we need to find him!! i feel so retarded right now

Perhaphs one is in the belly of the other? I sure hope that's not the case, but it's a distinct possibility with 2 in an enclosure.

nope... the bigger one is missing... theres no way noodle could have eaten him and me NOT notice that. a tiny inch and a half minnow is almost too big for him to eat and leaves a bulge for two days
