Considering but Confused
I have been thinking about a new companion
1.Green tree python
2.Tree frogs
3.Chinese water Dragon
I cant decide so if anyone has any input i would be grateful to hear about it.
if you have any of the companions above i would like to hear about your personal expeirinces
Where can I find a green tree python in Houston i cant find any breeders or stores?

Green Tree Pythons are a little tricky... you need some experience, and i have none so i couldnt tell you anything other then that- tree frogs are cool I guess but I don't see much of a companion in a tree frog... and Chinese Water dragons are cool but beware they get large and you need a big enclosure for them

I think the first thing to consider is husbandry requirements. GTPs can be a bit finicky, with humidity needs and such. Take a look at some caresheets for the required set-ups for all animals you listed, and see if you can handle that. Whatever you do, get the cage setup, and try to keep temps and humidity stable for a few weeks before you even buy the animal. Personally, I plan my purchases about 4 to 6 months down the road. I find it works well, as it gives me time to keep very informed on breeders, requirements, etc. Plus, it helps make sure it's not an impulse buy.
