Hermanni Hibernation Help!

Hey everyone, (I'm new here!), I have an important question regarding Harmanni boettgeri.

I recently bought one to take care of (previously owning a bearded dragon) and I'm unsure of the advice I've been given about its hibernation. Is it true that it is ok to prevent them from doing it?? I'd hate to cause any harm to her, and it's rapidly getting colder. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

And also, is iceberg lettuce unsuitable for them?
