Question Best Heating Option

Hi all,
I have 10 adult snakes (Rats, Ball python, E. King, Milk, Corn) that I will be moving to polyethylene containers measuring 24 L X 20 W X 13 H. I have chosen plastic egg crate light covers as the lids. The room where the snakes are housed is maintained at 80-85°F night & day.
I am looking for advice on supplemental heat for these guys. Do they need it? If so, what is my best option? I would prefer to use UTH but will use overhead heating, if need be.
I would like to (1) not use a heater that needs to be affixed to the cage, (2) not have the heaters be too 'technical' to assemble/operate , & (3) keep the number of cords to a minimum. Can anyone give me some suggestions?
More info that might(?) help: 8 cages will set on 2 72" L 2-tiered carts w/open-wire shelves (2 on top & 2 on bottom). The last 2 cages will be on the same type of cart but this one is only 36" wide. The substrate in use now is newspaper but I am looking at other options (any advice in this department would also be welcome).
Thanks tons
Audrey

these are from the carsheets on this website

Rat:
(tiger rat) 88-90 day and 75 at night
(biard's rat) 75-78 ambient, 80-82 basking

King
(california) basking 80-85, cool side 75-80
(grey banded) basking 28-30 C (82.4-86F) cooler end aboce 24C (75F)
(desert) ambient (76-7 basking 86

Milk:
(Sinaloan) ambient 76-78 basking 86

Corn:
ambient 70-80 basking 75-85

Ball Python:
ambient 80, basking 88-90

most of the ambient temps are below 80-85, so you might want to consider keeping your room temp closer to 75 and usign other methods to keep the ones that need a warmer enviroment warmer.

you could create a "warmer side" of the room using space heaters.

All the snakes should have some kind of suplimentary heat source to creating a "hot side" or baskign area in their cages. Flexwat is a great way to do this and I've heared it is very affordable.

Hope this helps a bit

Hey Demona,
Thanks for the advice. I'll check into the Flexwat & drop the whole room temp a bit.
