Possible pregnant BP
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I found my BPs breeding about 6 weeks ago. I put them together for a few minutes while I was cleaning the males cage. Anyway She was gaining weight like crazy. When I weighed her about a week ago she weighed 4 pounds 11 oz,tonight I weighed her and she weighed 4 pounds 8 oz. She keeps refusing the food. If anyone has any Info on this let me know because right now I dont have a way to get to knoxville to the vet I see. Any help is appreciated.

Did you weigh her poop? Three ounces sounds about right.

Thanks for the site. I read up on it. Everything it says seems to be exactly what Balla is doing. The constriction of the tail. And down close to her vent is real big. I dunno if that counts for anything but it kinda looks like shes working up a good poop. The only reason Im not thinking it poop is cuz she pooped the other night. And Tammy she weighed the 4 pounds 8 oz before she pooped. And still weighs that much. The constriction of the tail well shes never done that before now. She always just wraped her middle around my arm or whatever, and let her tail hang free. Now shes useing her whole body. It just seems like she is preg from reading on that site and seeing how big she is. She hasnt lost weight at all.She is refusing food but stays the same. I mean Im no expert on the whole breeding Ball Pythons, But something just seems right for this whole thing. She hasnt eat in about 4 weeks. After looking at my records I seen that I did right it down. Shes not as active now either. Everything that you guys have told me and everything I read has come down to the possible fact that she is pregnant. By the way, she only comes out of her hide box when the timmer shuts the lights off. Used to she would come out with the light on or off. If there is any other Info you guys can give me please help lol I need it. Thanks guys and god bless

Well, to be on the safe side, you need to figure out if you are going to let mom incubate her eggs, or if you need to get an incubator ready.
Here is some great info about incubating, egg laying, including homemade incubators, letting the snake incubate the eggs, and temps.
The last 2 links are incubators you can buy.
