hi everyone-
i was playing with my BRB today and i just noticed that she had a couple dents in one of her eyecaps. is this cause for concern? what does it mean? she's been shedding just fine, eyecaps have been coming off just fine, shes shedding all in one piece. just wanted to know what i could do about the dents or if anything is wrong, if anybody knows. thanks

Hey Gaily!
You are having problems with humidity, or lack of.
Get a spray bottle and spritz your snake at least twice a day, three times if yiou can, getting it very moist. The eye should pop back to normal with in a few days of starting this, if not then usually by the next shed or two.

Not a major cause for concern. However, as Eddie has said, the humidity should be raised in order to remedy it.

oh ok...thanks i have a moss box set up and i spray the moss box every morning...i guess i just havent been making it quite humid enough. i used to have a humidity guage but due to the moisture the cheap thing would get water in it and break. i noticed i was getting an inaccurate reading after a while. does anyone know of a good brand that makes durable ones? i was using the round kritterz brand ones that comes in a dual pack with a thermometer. a humidity guage that breaks because of moisture kinda defeats the purpose . I have seen eye dents that pop back out after humidity is raised...I have seen some pop out after the next shed Like these guys are saying...I have also seen a few that no matter what you do...they stay dented. One of Sabazios' snakes has had a dented eyecap since he was a baby....6 years ago. It doesn't seem to bother him....maybe he just doesn't know any better and thinks the world is a warped place. If that's the case I tend to agree.
