*sigh* conversion to rats problems
i cant seem to get voldemort to convert to rats.
he attacks mice with gusto tho.
i have tried: rubbing the rats with mice, rubbing the rats with mouse litter, braining the rats, rubbing and braining, clipping the fur off a mouse and sprinkling it on the rat, i mean, everything i can think of aside from beheading a mouse and dousing the rat in mouse blood.
can you please help? im feeding voldemort 2 mice at a time, beucase 1 mouse is way too small
im bout ready to rip my hair out

Patients is usually the key, I have found if they get hungry enough they will eat it even if he misses a few meals. just dont give in and give him a mouse every time.

I agree with Muzixman. I would also add not to keep trying every day. If your schedule is feed 1X a week then let him skip a week if he doesn't eat the rat. If another week comes put the rat in with him for a few hours and just leave him be. Just don't give up. I'd keep doing this untill he ate even if a few weeks went by.

I'm assuming that voldemort is a BP. If so, I had the same problem with a female of mine. Someone recommended that I chain feed her, a mouse first followed by a rat. Worked great, she takes rats everytime now after three times chain feeding her. Good luck.

Ive heard of sewing a rat to the mouse. Never tried it but the guy swore that it worked. I know BP are supposed to be color blind but try a white rat, I have gotten mine to switch to rats from mice but only small white rats.
