Ok,
I am waiting for my Dumerils to come in, and I was just about to set up the tank, and I've got a problem. I'm not sure what kind of habitat he needs. I know the temp requirements and all, just not sure how I should set the tank up. Do I need to have places for him to climb? Or no? I just need to know what kind of setup I need. Also, does anyone know the correct humidity for a Ball Python? Thanks for your help,
Chris.

Well I'm not sure about it, but my Dumeril does not climb at all...only time I've seen him climb was to get out of the tupperware I had him soaking in. I have things in my cage for him to climb on but he never used it, he much prefers to bury under the bark.
Hope I helped

For Dumeril's info, go to www.dumerils.com.

As for the ball python, ~60% is generally recommended, but I wouldn't get too caught up on numbers. With some ball pythons, you may need to up it to around 75%. What matters most is that your snake is having no difficulty shedding, but is not excessively damp.

Cool youre getting a dumeril...they're pretty nice...dumerils are burrowing snakes...try aspen shavings ...enough for it to get under and hide...i dont think they climb alot so be more concern about the burrowing...hope that helps
