I know what a BOSL is...never heard of a BOSC. BOSL means Big Ol Stupid Lizard lol...anyway if you let your dog and lizard play together when your lizard is young, you don't have to worry about what happens when it's an adult cause it won't survive the first chomp and shake.

uh... lizards aren't dogs. they don't play together. Just don't put them in a situation where a problem could happen and you'll be fine. I have 8 dogs and 4 lizards, they get along great... because they're never out at the same time.

Smile

unless, of course, the baby monitor is one of those genetically modified giant lizards and the dog is a newborn chihuahua.

Seriously, tough, I would just try to keep them totally separated at all times.

Reptiles and mammals do not mix, except for us and ours.

As was stated, they will get along great... as long as they are kept seperate!
For the most part, reptiles see mammals as food or threat, and the other way around, not much middle ground. I mean, they may tollerate each other for a while, but it will eventually bite you in the rear, no pun intended.

I wouldnt let the dog and the monitor out at the same time..Maybe put the dog in a different room...A monitor is still a wild animal, they dont tame down like a dog or cat. Its asking for trouble. People dont realize snakes and lizards are much like lions, tigers and bears (OH MY) they dont ever TAME, there is always a wild instinct there. Monitors grow accustomed to humans. I doubt very seriously they would view a dog as anything other than a threat.

i don't really understand what you're planning for the monitor.. Aren't you going to be keeping it in a cage? If so, it will get used to a dog walking by it's cage, just like the dog will get used to it being in a cage. But don't sit on the couch watching tv with your dog and monitor loose and wandering around in the same room with you. That's an accident waiting to happen.
If you want to take your monitor out of it's cage, put all other animals in a seperate room or in their own cage.
