My kingsnake was an escapee for 3 months straight not too long ago. We had a sneaking suspicion before that he was wild caught because of his attitude and eating habits, well we confirmed it because he hard-core musked EVERYTHING. There was nasty white liquid all oer the inside of the cage. Well I thought he would get over it, NO! I just went to pick him up and it was like the daggum thing ripped one in my face. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for dealing with that. O yeah, I use filtered water for him to drink and feed f/t mice. It's not that, the snakes just a butthead. ha ha

Yes, kings are notorious for musking. especially when hey feel freedom for a while or are newly acquired. they usually giveup after a few times if hey figure out it will not do anything to you and you are going to handle them anyway....
but, nothing like poo in the face....gross....

My milksnake acted the same way after being moved up to a larger home. He was find before being moved and then after a little musker he was, lol. He got over it though after a few days.
