Need help ( not my snake )

Well this is a pic that someone gave me.. they want to know what it could be.. i told her i couldent make out what it might be, but take it to the vet !!!!!
Any info that i can give her would be great.. I just sent her email asking info about the snake, but no reply yet.
I hope she will go to vet and not wait for awnser

Lookin like scale rot to me..Do you know anything about the husbandry or how long its been like that?

nothing i was talking to her about 930 last night and she told me she was going to get pic... I waited an hour and went to bed, and now just got pic i know nothing about the snake or husbandry.. i told her it might be scale rot before i saw pic... i showed her a pic from these forums of scale rot and she didnt know what to make of it..

Send her this link and tell her to keep the snake off the substrate and use some form of triple antibiotic/neosporin WITHOUT lidocaine..
There is more info on scale rot on the link..
Hope that helps 
See if you can find out anything on her husbandry and housing as well..

Post Script: if she has the snake on carpet, that is a likely culprit..the snake poops, the owner cleans with bleach, no amount of bleach will get rid of the urate dust and the combination of heat and humidity is a prime breeding ground for bacteria..
However scale rot can occur under many conditions...
