You may have problems switching her. Thats why alot of people try and get them on rats sooner. I good thing to do is if he won't take a f/t scented rat, you may have to kill the rats by swinging him against the floor in a bag full of rodent shavings. Scenting is pretty easy though. I had to scent a rabbit because my boa wouldn't take it so I cut the mice up int small pieces when they were frozen and rubbed them on the rabbit, worked like a charm. Maybe something to consider.

ya...you might have to get your hand a lil bit dirty on this one.
try scenting it with mice, like pork suggested.
what a weird feeding regimen you have it on...

get the scent of mice on your forefinger and thumb, stick it in front of his face, and when he latches on GENTLY pry his mouth open, stick the rat inside, and wait for him to let go of your fingers...and just so i don't get flamed on for giving you bad advice the aforementioned was a joke.

Just keep us updated. I would try the cut up mice heated in a bag then put the rat in. The smell should be very strong and the snake should take it.

well...obviously YOU TOO are not currently happy with the current feeding situation.
I just thought it was weird she was eating 5 mice instead of 1 properly sized rodent (rat).
I wasn't flaming you...otherwise I wouldnt have used the word 'weird' and I wouldnt have put a smiley face next to the comment.
I just thought it was strange to feed 5 mice...
Do u place the rat in warm water to warm it up and get it wet??
I always do that...the water helps get it down too.
I also always feed in the dark and in a small box...but my boa is a shy eater.
Good luck.

I've had problems with thawing in water, a lot of the scent gets washed way. I just set the bag with the mouse/rat/rabbit in the hot water and let it thaw
