Success at last
Hi guys you may have seen some of the posts that i have left recently about my snake not eating. I took him to the vets to address a mite problem and then mentioned him not feeding at the same visit. The vet sorted the mites out with some frontline and said i was getting overprotective of my boa and worrying too much about him not eating the rats. Anyway last night i went to the pet store and thought i would try again to get him to eat. I picked up two ugly (i hate rats) yet expensive albino rats to feed william. All the rats i have offered previously have been frozen thawed or pre, killed brown ones. So this morning the rat is gone and my snake is now developing a taste for pre-killed albino rats that in my opinion should be like snake caviar.
Now he is feeding again i need to get him onto frozen thawed before i have to ake out a second morgage. Any advice, keep in mind he only seems to like albino rats and he is a puff and only eats in private ( he is captive bread and does not strike full stop!) the last rat i killed got a nose bleed and this mite have stimulated him to feed could this be the way foward .
any help guys
thanks
josh

maybe i read your post wrong but dont leave a LIVE rat in with your snake overnight. rats can be mean at times.
