Yeah, my snakes eat their skins too!
Ithought I was the only one that knew this!
Seriously, this is normal, the shed will happen soon, just keep on misting it and you'll see.

Solid, what I do if I notice the snake hasn't shed a few days after clearing up, I soak it. Stick the snake in warm water for a little bit and then let it crawl around on you or have a towel there for it to crawl on. By the second day (soak) my snakes will start rubbing on ME to get it started. I had to do this with my argentine boa. It was 5 days after the eyes cleared up, so I soaked him and gave him a light 'massage'. It gives him the hint that it's time to shed. He got that 'itch' and start to shed. I put him back into his viv and within 15 minutes he shed his skin. Hope this helps....

It's normal. Your snake didn't eat the skin; it just didn't shed yet.

When he does shed, you'll notice. you'll look at him and be like WOW . normally snakes look their best right after they shed, and there is a noticeable difference in apperance. -Juggalo

My rtb just shed the first time with me, same scenario. Clouded eyes, cleared up, then shed 3 days later. He had some on his tail that didn't come off. I soaked him for about 30 minutes and let him crawl around my hands and it came right off.
Hey this is the first question I had an answer to, or some experiece with. Everyone here is great and a huge help. Thanks to all.

Hey Solidsnake, not to worry my 3 yr old RTB did the same thing!, eyes clouded up skin got loose, nose holes looked clogged etc. for 3 days he mised his feeding then it cleared up so I fed him now two days later he started to shed?????? He has never done that before and come to think of it he is very active the last 3 weeks day or night he crawls all over his cage untill I get him out to play then he is ok! Maybe he knows I'm thinking of getting a buddy for him? Or could be the change in his food (switching from live to pre-killed going to frozen) Anyway not to worry the vet said he's fine!
