Hi, We recently inherited 2 anoles; they're so small. We have a beardie so have some experience. Got them a 10 gallon, put in a vine that they can travel on & jump around on, also a large wishbone shaped branch. Also got 2 tropical plants with large leaves.
UVB is Exoterra Reptiglo 5.0 tube in a fixture & using 40W light as basking, but that may need to be upped to 60
W. The cool side is 75-80, the warm side 80-85 and basking 90F. Misting 4x/day on the glass. The little one (snout to vent about 2") is already eating
crix, can't see her ribs anymore. The longer one (snout to vent about 3") has a shed on its head that won't come off. We've had them now 5 days. (we think the small one is female and the larger one male but not 100% sure). Just wondering what I can feed the larger one, so far will take only water from a syringe (needless).
Species: Green anoles
How long have you had this animal? 2 animals, 5 days
Ambient Temps: 75-80F
Basking temps:90F
Size:2" & 3" snout to vent
Diet within the past year for snakes--the past 6 months for lizards: feeding
Last time this animal ate: we think the smaller one is eating crickets, we haven't counted what's left yet
Frozen thawed/ live/ stunned/ freshly kiled? 2 wk old crickets, gut fed and dusted with calcium & vitamins
Bulbs if any utilized (be as specific as possible--look on bulb to get make and wattage)

Heat sources (makes and wattage):40W clear bulb in reflector, may change to 60W
How are you measuring temps? round temp guide
Cage size and type: 10 gallon glass
Substrate: nothing, they get around better on glass & easier to see if they poop
Symptoms: head shed that won't come off
Can you upload any pics? I'll put some in photobucket, don't have much luck uploading pics.
Comments: I'm just worried about the shed not coming off and wondering what I can feed the larger one, ribs are showing and not much energy. The smaller one is in hunting mode alot, and lots of energy and is turning green more often. Is there a babyfood that I can use, so can add calcium and vits so he can eat, maybe then he can grow a bit & get rid of that shed. The vine and branch are rough & I've seen him rub his head to no avail. He will get on my finger but not the little one, she jumps away. We have a folding mesh top that is very handy to get into the cage. I've found 3 poops so far that I've cleaned up. Any help would be great. I'm going to try to loan pics:
