need help with heating

i am going to get a rtb but want to have setup ready before i get her.
right now i have a 40 gallon sliding top breeder cage will be moving up to a six foot long animal plastics cage when she gets bigger. for the 40 gallon breeder i have a 100 watt bulb in an over head fixture for heating i was told that would be enuf just turn it off at night for a day/night cycle and the temp in the room would be enuf for heat overnight (75 degrees)
should i keep bulb and use flexwatt underneath or just use flexwatt underneath. also when i get 6 ft tank should i only use flexwatt with flourescent bulb for lighting because i dont think a bulb would be enuf to heat even half of this tank. also how do i get humidity right in both of these tanks the 40 gallon is sliding screen top and the animal plastics is a solid top with optional openings for heat bulbs. thanks 4 any help
