I'd look seriously at this design. It's cheap, lightweight, and very very strong. I built my boa a 6x2x2' cage based on this design. If I had been out of melamine it would have weighed a TON! Just my 2 cents!

if weight isnt a problem make a simple melamine cage. just take the bottom and top and sandwich the sides and back in between them and add a door. if you are ok with tools should only take u an hour or two per cage and once you get going it wont take as long. im gettin two or three of them built sooner or later

I would agree that melamine would be easier to use for building than the tileboard. With the tileboard construction, you need a frame, then put the tileboard pieces on it. However, I just can't imagine how heavy my 6' cage would be using melamine!
