Help with Texas Rat Snake's feeding
My Texas rat snake, Jinx, hasn't eaten for four months. It's winter here in the U.S., and I thought she was hibernating or thinking about mating. She's still active, drinks water, and occassionally poops. She hasn't shed in four months, either. She's behaved this way just about every year, but I think this time it's longer between feedings. She looks at me like she's begging, and when I try to feed her she acts interested, but always moves away in the end. I feed her thawed dead rats, and she has eaten live in the past. I prefer not to feed her live, as the last one bit her eye cover and ended up giving her stomach parasites. (I treated her with antibotics at a reptile vet's direction back in August). I'm getting worried about her. I'd appreciate any advice.
