Bath time!!
Hey guys! I just got caught up on everything on the site (been down for two weeks w/ pneumonia) glad to see everyone's well.
Anyway on to my question- when I bath my RTB in the bathtub ,should I put Repti-safe in the tub to treat the water the snakes going to be in?

I'm sure he doesn't bathe WITH his snake Probably just lets him swim in the bath. I do the same for my iguana.
I don't use Reptisafe on my water, but if you're into it (and I know a lot of people are, and maybe I should be), you should use it in all their water since they'll likely drink some while they soak.

The water here is treated to death with everything they can put into it,I don't even drink it!I've always used some kind of water treatment just to be on the safe side.

Not saying you're wrong for it... heck, it's probably a great precaution! I guess I'm lucky that the water isn't too horribly gross here, but it does have chlorine in it which probably isn't too good for the critters.
Anyway, the answer is yes, use the Reptisafe in the bath water. There is no point in using it sometimes, but not other times.

We use reptisafe but mainly for amphibians and turtles here. When I soak my snakes and lizards I use regular water but they get the same bottled water the people and mammals get in their dishes for drinking. Anyways, I dont think tap water would harm your snake, but if you have the reptisafe it sure wont hurt to use it!

I'm gald Reptisafe was brought up. I've been meaning to ask about that for a while now! Every time I sit down to read/post messages, I space it out and forget. I have a trial-sized packet of that stuff and I've used it several times, but I don't know much about it. From what you guys/gals are saying, it pretty popular. I guess "50,000,000 Elvis fans can be wrong", eh?
