man, I feel for you. I sure hope it works out. I know that two things animal control does when they're trying to get snakes out that have gotten into houses, movie theatres, crawl spaces, etc....are set traps with food. Sounds like you have that with the mice. The other is to set a warm trap to attract em when it's cold in a crawl space or attic or something. Maybe in the garage you could set up storage container with a human heatpad and set it up behind stuff where it may hide. Hopefully if it was there where it is cold your baby would find the heat and go to it. good luck and keep us posted when the good news comes!
