I am a smoker...ya ya, I know - BAD!
Anywho, I'm sure that smoking around my snakes is not a good thing, and that is why I try not to. But I can't always go outside, and that is why I would like to know just how bad the smoke is for their little resp systems, granted, I don't smoke in the same room as my snakes, but I can't lock the smoke out completely. Either way, let me know.

Well Flood, I have never seen a warning like that
on any of my packs, I usually get the pregnent warnings, which being a guy, I ignore.
But as reptiles are cold-blooded and have a very slow metabolism compared to us, then I will assume the smoke is worse on them than it is on us. Do what you can, but you may think about one of those clean air filtering machines for your snakes room.
Oh, yeah, don't let your snakes smoke, either...

I have had this same concern since my boyfriend (and the past b/f) smoke ciggs...
When the snakes were thruout the house and Kyle would smoke inside, I would just
insist he sit by an open window if he couldn't get outside. If the smoke is collecting in the
room, get a small fan and open a window.. it really does help!!

Just a little informal study, well not really a study per say, but an observation. When I worked as a veterinary technician, I noticed that pets belonging to smokers seemed to have more health complaints than those that lived in smoke free environments. What I thought was really interesting (of course, unproven) was the increase of smokers' dogs having more ear infections. I have seen smokers' pets with chronic RI's, coughs, and cancers. Granted, nonsmokers'pets had those same problems, but it just seemed like most of them belonged to smokers. Anyway, I am not knocking you for smoking, judge not yadda yadda yadda, that, and I am a smoker too (with asthma to boot, some of us are really thickheaded! ), but you may want to try the purifiers or the open window/fan thing. The best thing we could do, if not for us but for the pets we love, is quit smoking while we still have a chance to heal the damage we have done to ourselves and loved ones. *sigh* easier said than done

MMMMMMMM Nag Champa....that stuff is great. Don't know if it's harmful or not, so to be safe, open a window a bit when you burn it.
