Question on substrata
Can Lizard Litter be used temporarily as a substrata for a boa and corn snakes? Its made from White fir and eucalyptus.
Thanks for your feedback.
Take care,
Karen Barker

If I wanted to do something temporarily, I think I'd go with newspaper or paper towels. No issues with safety. Hope it helps!

You can use it...but it molds really fast. Eucalyptus mulch is a pretty good substrate if you have it in your area. I do not have it in mine...but I do have cypress

I am not familiar with Lizard Litter. But why spend that much money on substrate when Cypress mulch works great?

Thanks everyone!
I'll go ahead and use what I have of the Lizard litter, keeping an eye out for mold then switch over to the cypress mulch. I use that for my tegus. Cheap and easy to find. The snakes are small and I was a worried it might be a little harsh on them. Thanks again for the help! Can you tell I'm new at snakes.....LOL
Take care,

Matter of opinion and what your holding Pierced... Cypress holds moisture much better and doesnt mold as fast.
