regurgitated smell :(
i know my mistake i fed piggie (lol we joke cause my female is bigger than my male and she is always hungry or seems that way) too much... trust me i learned my lesson.. chuck it..See my other snake didnt eat his second rat and though maybe my little piggie would know her limit and not take it if she didnt want it or was full.. how wrong was I .. next night she sure threw it up and i know not to feed her for 14 days and all that stuff and i knwo everythign else is fine but OMG HOW DO YOU GET RID OF THIS DAYUM SMELL!!!! I took all the old reptibark out washed the tank out with antibacterial soap and rinsed it really well gave her a bath and tried to let the room air out for like 3 hours still no good..... any ideas on getting this smell out ???

Just give it some time. If it's warm enough, open a window or two and get a fan going, pointing out the window.

lol yeah i had it open for 3 hours and that room went to 35 degrees. Dont worry I had the snakes in a different room but as soon as the room wamred up the smell came back just as bad.. I was thinking febreeze? I tried spraying glade in there while the windows were open but it didnt help and u couldnt tell i sprayed it at all.

I'd be careful spraying anything around reptiles. If they're out of the room where the spray can't get to them, go for it, but I'd be worried about respiratory problems if it's sprayed too close to them.

The aerosol propellants in the sprays are not good for snakes. Can cause nueralogical damage. Best is clean it replace the bark (wouldnt use bark anyway) clean with a bleach solution or nolvasan smell wont last long.

oh i would definately take them out of the room first and cover there tanks.. why dont you like retibark? ive used it for 3 years now and it keeps humidity great and they can burry in it if they choose.. i wouldnt trade it for the world

i know but i change there bark atleast once a month and i changed it today and washed the cage and everything... and it hold humidity well and in the winter i can make it kind of thick and they like to bury themselves in it .. yes the female RTB regurgitated she is almost 2
|

ok well she had to of digested something before she threw it up because much to my surprise she def took a nice poop in the corner... so if she digested some of it why did she end up spitting the rest up?
