50% isnt humid enough for a ball python during shedding.
you may want to try misting daily while they are blue.

here's what brett told me to when my atb had a bad shed. Put it in warm water in a tote with a heat pad under it to keep it warm. The water should be just high enough so that the snake doesn't have to swim. Wad up some paper towels to mike a wet "island." Leav it there for a while until the shed comes off. (It took mine about 2 days.)

Just wondering, did letting him soak in warm water work on the boa?

You could also make a humid hide. Just use a plastic dish big enough for the snake to comfortably curl up in (gladware containers worj great for smaller snakes) and cut a hole in the lid. Fill it partway with moist spagnum moss or coconut bedding, or put in some damp paper towels. I keep mine in the warm side of the cage, and mine all love them.
