Iggy burns

a couple days ago my iguana got out of his 6ft tall enclosure and sat on the top where the lamps are I was glad I caught hijm early but it looks like that he suffered some injuries, his skin has a few burned areas, two spots have lost scales and are fleshy I solved the problem of the enclosure, I also raised the lamps higher so he can't get burned again, but I need to know if there is anything I should do to help him heal. I have already soaked him and cleaned the wounds, they aren't infected (thank God) but does anyone know anything I can put on him, or do to help his skin, my petstore doesn't have any remedies, but maybe there is something I have at home to use. This isn't really an emergency, but I do want to help him if I can, thanks!

Ummm, it is kind of an emergency. You should definately get your iggy into a vet asap!! One thing to try until you can get to the doc is to gently rub bacitracin ointment on the burned areas two or three times a day. And make sure to keep the wounds clean. Good luck
