ANTS

I have a six foot boa in a large wood enclosure and noticed ants inside. It opens from the front and has two glass doors that lock. There are metal screens on the sides to help get rid of excess heat, and I think those are how the ants got in. Coconut bark is used for substrate. There are also ants inside my tarantula's enclosure. Any suggestions?

Hmmm. Time to do a good cleaning of both enclosures. Don't use ANY chemicals on the Tarantula's cage. You can POM the Boas cage. Make sure to keep both cages very clean. If there is no food for the ants, they shouldn't be around. I would use a cleanser around where the enclosures are to kill any scent trail the ants may follow back.

There's a wooden ledge built in the enclosure. What would be safe to use on the wood?

I just had the same problem. I also found Mites in the water dish though. I replaced the substrate after I treated the new with Prevent-A-Mite. and also treated the rest of the enclosure. Prevent-A-Mite says it will prevent all insects so I will see if they go back in.
