Cold/Flu and a Boa

Quick Question:

Can a boa catch your cold or flu?

I know that cats and dogs are immune to most human viruses. However I am not sure about reptiles.

Wow, a good question with some answers and even more mysteries...

Human flu can be deadly to igguanids...
Mouthrot in snakes has been shown to be the same as the human staph infection..

Several other zoonoses but off the top of my weary head.. they escape me at the moment...

We do it simple here, either don't get sick or stay away from direct contact with the animals if you are sick.
If we have no other choice, a good hand washing, antibacterial gel and minimum contact. As well as no breathing on or kissing the critters
