This is an Ahaetulla prasina I saw in the zoo with some kind of head injury or ailment. Just wondering what's wrong with it, whether it is some sort of parasite infection or flesh wound. I doubt that it is an injury from a live prey animal, since these snakes, as far as I know, are fed live geckoes which probably can't cause much injury. There were other snakes of the same species in this tank, so injury caused by fighting might be a cause, though this is a relatively peaceable species. Hoep somebody can shed some light on this.
