Light colored patches on my Milksnake...
I was feeding my Sinaloan milksnake Lava and found these strange light coloring around his scales in patches. Anyone have an idea what they are?
Thanks,
SS

It's difficult to say from that pic, but it looks like a fungal infection to me. Do the patches feel rough?

No Morti they don't.. I rubbed them gently with a fingernail too and could see no changes. I thought that maybe it was a fungus but I figured a fungus would wipe off? Think they will go away with a shed?

Re: Light colored patches on my Milksnake...
A fungal infection would not really wipe off, but it does tend to feel a little crusty.
I am with HerpHappy on this one... looks like some scales didn't form right in the last shed cycle. It should hopefully get progressively better with time.
Please note... I am not a vet. This is not veterinary advice. If you are unsure, please seek a vet.

The light coloring between the scales...yes. But that was not like that a few days ago.

I understand Morti and appreciate the input. I am hoping that a new shed clears it up.
