Don't Like This...
So, I took Magni out for some photos today. Every time I take this snake out I give him a full look-over, just as any other overly anal snake owner would do.
I found 3-4 of these small lumps along right side of his neck. I took photos of the largest one, which is about the size of pea, probably smaller. The rest are maybe a quarter to half that size. I know they weren't there last time I held him, 2 days ago. I try to hold/handle/health check them all every day. I felt it to determine if it was hard or fluid filled. It does feel a little hard after I pressed all the way down to the muscle. This guy is a SAINT and will let me inspect his mouth on a regular basis (which is clear, by the way), so he's quite used to all my poking and prodding.
Everything else seems fine, as he ate around 2 days ago.
Anyway here are some pictures of the larger lump:

.

.

Of course, there is really one thing I can do and that is watch it, see if it goes down, see if it gets bigger (or harder). If it goes away I will feel weird about it and keep checking it since I'm anal. If it is still there after a week or so or gets bigger he's going into the vet to see if we can aspirate it.
I. DO. NOT. NEED. THIS.
It's the Holidays, everything is crazy, but thankfully I have a credit card reserved solely for snake vet visits. It never gets touched unless I need it, and this might be the first time.

That's so strange! I bet it turns out to be nothing, but I know exactly how you feel... I paid $50 just to find out that the "whistling" I heard from my albino motley was just him in shed... I couldn't even TELL he was in shed...

There is no way I would know if it is hurting him. For one thing, he is a reptile (who often mask pain better than any other creature), and the other is that he is so calm and placid that you can probably do anything to him and he wouldn't flinch. If you can take a snake and examine his mouth without him flipping out, the snake is a saint. At least in my book.
Thanks for the well wishes though. I hear Toki is getting better.

It does look like a zit. But trust me, I've prodded it enough to confirm it isn't. It doesn't have a real fluid like feel. At least to me.

Sometimes, being anal is a good thing. If it is something serious, like cancer, at least I caught it early and buy him some time and hopefully give him some options. I'm really hoping it isn't, but that's me being paranoid. They literally popped up within 48 hours.

Well if these lumps go away and don't prove to be life threatening, Magni might be a horny rubbing male in a couple years. And I wouldn't blame him. Valhalla is hot.

Re: Don't Like This...
I had a lump like that on my late Coachwhip, I was told that it was possibly a worm. I would, just for safety's sake, get it checked.

I'm not ruling anything out, but that might possibly be it.
He's never had any health issues so this will be his first vet visit. He's not showing any abnormal activity in addition to these lumps, so I'm gambling that it's nothing serious.

Neither do I. However, a little time will tell and a vet visit.

Keep a close eye on it. Mesure it and see if it grows. I don't want to scare you. But believe it or not they can get tumors( It is rare) It also could be nothing I would go get it checked out.

It's been gone for about 2-3 days now and I'm still keeping an eye on it.
