ball python ?
my ball python got burns about a month ago from his uth pad and he shed and everything went back to normal and now they are back even though i covered the bottom of his cage with liners and extra bedding but today i noticed some fluid filled scales normal colored looking scales with a thick clear liquid inside. I'm currently switching him to a temporary sterlite tub w/ paper towels and i plan on seeing a vet asap and i have no clear pics of them because my camera is crappy sorry. so my ? is are the fluid filled scales maybe from the burned scales getting infected or is it possibly something else?

It sounds that way, but I don't know for sure.
Good luck with him, and good on you for planning on taking him to the vet. Keep us updated.

Re: ball python ?
Get the thermostat to regulate the heater too.

Re: ball python ?
i do have a syder robotics thermostat running the heater but what i think it might be the uth pad malfunctioning which led to the burns. anywho i got the earliest vet appt. i could which is not till monday. so i'm using a 2x daily application of hydrogen peroxide and neosporin until then. Someone on another forum mtold me to soak him in a luke warm bath for like a half hour each day, would that help at all?

Re: ball python ?
Call the vet up and ask him/her what you should be doing.

Re: ball python ?
Sounds like you're doing everything that you should be. One word of advice though, I wouldn't use the hydrogen peroxide - it kills healthy cells and well as bacterial invaders. It's more for a one time use on a cut/scrape than to be used frequently. I would just stick to the neosporin until you see the vet.
