I'm typing up a caresheet that I plan to give out to people who want to buy one of my baby BPs, when and if Satan ever lays eggs and such. And I'm gonna try to give it to the petstore near me that sells BPs.
Anyway, I just realized that I have NO IDEA what scale rot looks like. I know what causes it and how to fix it, but not how to spot it. Hmmm.
Help?

Scale rot looks like rust stains on the scales with some of the scale being eaten away and or sometimes curled up.
Here's some pics, a little blurry but shows it well.
And as seen here, it can spread to upper body areas also.
In early stages it can be treated topically, but when in advanced stages such as this, it has to be treated internally since it is an internal infection.

Like scales that are rotting..?? Of course that's just a guess ya know LOL
It basically looks like a brownish patch on the scales [ can be small up to large coverage of scales involved also] ..can get like crusty at times, turn the edges of the scales upwards etc possibly, cause the scale to deteriorate in some cases, ..hmmm.. I have pics somewhere of it also.. let me see if I can locate them for you to see it also.

Ha! Now I know what to look for, instead of just knowing how to prevent it. Thanks, y'all.
