Do you have any live plants? They sound like Aphids.

Well the Aphids more than likely did not come from the repti bark. Aphids ONLY eat plants. They wont bother with your snake. If you leave them be the will multiply by incredible amounts. BUT I wouldn't treat to remove the Aphids because that would be toxic to your snake. Remove the live plants and replace them with fake ones.

If they are aphids they can be treated with onion spray.
Whack a peeled onion w/ some water in a blender ,blend well and
strain, the liquid can be spayed on with a misting bottle.
I don't know if this would be toxic for your snake however?
It might be a safe option???
If they are white and fuzzy looking they may be Mealy bugs, also
harmless to snakes.

You may be able to use something usually used to treat mites. Maybe some SevinDust or Black Knight spray? There is an information sheet located in the Caresheets section on use. I would also suggest you wash and bake the Repti-bark before use. It has been known to harbor mites in the past.... And as Ed R suggested, remove the live plants and replace with fake ones. No bugs and easy to clean
Good luck!

Don't overlook the obvious. Many types of reptile mites are red or white as babies and darken as they feed on blood.
