So scared
I bought mice from a new pet shop on Sunday to feed to my babies, I feed fresh killed, we're not as lucky as you guys are to get ratscicles delivered and rats are impossible to get.
Came home tonight around 9 and went to check them and saw the most bloated snake I have ever seen with its head hidden in the hide, I thought for sure it was dead. It wasn't, just bloated from about right under its neck. I quickly checked the others that were fed and two more are in the same condition.
From research I did, it would seems a gastro intestinal problem due to bacteria that they got from the mice and have followed JuliusSqueezer's advice in this link http://redtailboa.net/forums/showthr...hlight=bloated and have ordered the Bene-bac in preparation.
I am just so scared right now, three out of my five in this horrible condition. I just don't know what to think. I just hope they all make it and this just goes to show that fresh killed isn't the way to go, not to mention don't sbuy mice from people you're not sure about.

I'll post pics tomorrow, they all seem so miserable, well okay they don't seem miserable but I feel miserable for them, they're all alert and flicking and wondering if I come bearing gifts, I saw another thread with a snake that looks exaclty like them in it

Hisssssy, I'm so sorry. I can imagine how scared you are right now. A sick snake with parasites is what got me into loving snakes. Before that I thought they were yucky and gross but I couldn't see one sick. I hope your babies will be okay.
