Dehydration
how do you rehydrate a dehydrated snake?
Do you hve to give oral injections? this would be stressfull...
What about feedign them wet mice? would that be enough to keep them healthy?
soak them every day?
my BP has been havign lots of trouble shedding, i don't know if its dehydration, but i never see her soak or drink

is your humidity at 50-60%?
You can soak a snake in a tub with a top on it if you want. usually their scales will have dimples if they are dehydrated.
if your humidity is correct, they probably will not soak.
you CAN feed wet rats if they will eat them (but water will take some of the scent away)

ok so is it better to decrease my humidity to encourage tehm to soak, or keep it high to keep them hydrated?

its best to make sure they get plenty of fluids.
is the snake clinically dehydrated, or is its skin just dry?

she has really bad sheds, and i think her scales are dimpled. her eyes are NOT sunk in though. I don't know about clinically dehydrated. How do i make sure she gets fluids? she has lots of fresh water.

I keep my bp's humidity at roughly 55%. She drinks water and is plenty hydrated. I soak her for a little bit each day during her shed cycle and she still sheds in about ten pieces. She gets everything including her eye caps off every time but it just comes off in pieces.
She was my first snake and I got her from a reptile only pet shop. The owner when I asked him about it said that BP's are notorious for bad sheds.
I saw a vid once off a guy trying to hydrate a sick snake with a dropper you could try that I guess. I'll try to find the link.
Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLmXS9U0R-g
Its worth a shot.
