What does it mean?
 whats does it mean if a snake doesn't flick thier tongue? my snake has never once in the 4 weeks ive had him :S my other thread explains what is wrong with him but have u ever head of this?

u know this is a good question, I'm going to post on it to bring it back up to the top. I have one snake that has very long, extented fkick that he does almost constantly. and another that will only stick his toung out a little bit ( like i can't even see where the 2 forks join into 1) I'v been wonderign if it could possibly indicate a difference in health

they should flick their tongue regularly...especially when handled.

This is not normal at all. Get the non-flicker checked out by a herp vet. It is a sign of sickness, or at least of major depression.

i have a burm that i have never seen flick its tounge and i have had it about 2 years now, the vets around here dont know anything either, a vet meeting usually goes like this....hmmmm im no sure what is wrong with it, ill call one of my superiors and call you after, thank you that will be $40, bye!
