Actually depends on a multitude of factors. Ie.. How severe was the bite ? What type of snake is it ? What is the treatment being used for the bite ?
Sometimes it can take just a few sheds to completely heal over..other times it takes much longer. Also, sometimes if the bite is really severe the snake will not have any scaling , so to say in the area but will instead just have a scar tissue build up is all.
Anyway you look at it.. This is definately a good reason to not feed live anymore and to start feeding either f/k or f/t prey to your snake. Here's my page on LIVE FEEDING

The bite the rat gave my red tail boa was similar to the last picture you had on your "live feeding" page. The method i'm using is cleaning the wound with hydrogen peroxide then adding neosporin ( everyday ). Should i use hydrogen peroxide everyday or every other day? K.. That one was cleaned initially with hydrogen peroxide and applied anti bacterial ointment.snake kept on newspaper with nothing to rub up against at all in the cage. then after that initial cleaning it was cleaned with novalsan and anti applied 3 times per day till healed up. took about 3 months till it was healed up and left a line scar on the snake also.

Novalsan is basically a "soap" that is used and anti is just short for antibiotic is all. Both can be found at your local pharmacy usually.

This post is health related also.. Soo moving it to that forum..
