dented eye
My boa, Sarah, somehow squished her eye on the glass, causing a little dent in it. Should I be worried? It's a small dent on the top of her eye. Will it go away after a shed or two? She just shed completely last week. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, but I don't want her vision to be damaged.

How long between the shed and the time you noticed the dent? Were you really observan enough in that time to notice? It may just be a retained eye cap, but either way should clear after a shed or two. Usually retained eye caps appear as a dented eye.
By the way, welcome to RTB!

I fed her on Friday, (today is Sun), and her eyes were fine. I keep her in my bedroom, so I watch her often. I was on computer early this evening, and her eyes were fine, then I noticed she moved to another area of the tank, so I went to look, and her eye was dented. I pulled her out for a little while, and it didn't seem to bother her, but I don't know if I should do anything or just leave it alone.
Her eye is clear, not cloudy.

Reason: edited to state that her eye is clear

Could be the humidity is a bit too low. Try misting her well at least once a day.

Usually a dented eyecap is the product of dehydration or low humidity. The humidity in your cage should be 60-65%. It should right it's self in a day or two. If it doesn't fix it's self once you have the humidity fixed, then it may very well be a retained cap. If that's the case, keeping your humidity up til' next shed should allow her to get it off then.

Bad pic it looks cloudy but it isn't, the eye cap that doesn't come off at the shedding stays hydrated for some time then drys up with good humidity it should come off the next time he sheds.

That's assuming that it is infact a retained cap. It may not be... it may just be a product of low humidity or dehydration.

True so its either a retained eye cap or a product of low humidity like pathfinder said Boa newbie.

If you do mist, be careful you mist and not spray. LOL Cuz I did that with my boa and he tried to bite me. He missed and clipped the water bottle. But I think it might just be an eye cap.

She has a cat litter box half full of water that she goes in maybe once a week. I misted her and her cage to get the humidity back up. How many times a day should I mist her and her cage?

How are you keeping track of humidity levels? Why not order one of these:
Dual probe thermometer/hydrometer

Mist as much as is needed to keep the humidity at around 60%. When I didn't have my boaphile cages, I'd mist once in the morning, once in the after noon and once at night. Depends on your area though.

if ur stream spraying of course it's gonna annoy the snake...
best thing to use instead of the cheap-o water bottles is to get a plant sprayer.. we use one made by Ortho (i think) washed and disinifected it and it works great.
