A new roommate
I am currently in the proccess of getting a new snake or as I like to call them my children. It's going to be a burm, but I have one particular problem. I don't know what kind I want. I really and truly want one atleast the size of my current one (which is between 7 1/2-8 ft) but I don't know what kind of morph. I have my heart set out for an albino male but burms are so #$%^$%^$%^$%^& gorgeous it is hard to choose. Right now I have a light phased burm
I have included the link to my online photo album feel free to access it, it's a limited time only. But please give me some insight on what type of burm to get.
Thanks in advance,
Snakemann

Uh OH, another burm morph post. Personally, as far as burms go I think that Normals look the best.

Thanks...to be franky honest with you I would love a norm or albino one of the two. I just wanted to see what would others consider a good choice for a roommate for my baby Akasha...

Just a few words of advice. If you'd like to have a burm the size close to Akasha, Please check with rehabs/rescues. There are tons of burms that need good homes. Also be aware that morphs tend to have more health issues than normals, even albinos. I also would like to add, since I havent' gotten to know you yet, that it wouldn't be a good idea to house them together. Don't know if you've heard that here yet or if you already knew it, just a word of caution. BTW, are you planning on breeding?

When you say Roommate, are you refering to living in the same cage? If so then No room mates. Snakes should not be housed together, and with ANY new addition they should be quarentined for around 90 days. seperate enclosures is a MUST.
Plus they sound like they will be totally different sizes, not a good thing either. One snake per enclosure.
not sure what your experience is in herps, but to have 2 future large constrictors is a huge task in the future. maybe best to see how 1 large constrictor goes first. Get your little one up to adult size first. By the name i assume its a female, so get her to 15' before you consider taking aon another one. Just my oppinion.
